Armor: Yes
Weapons: Yes Trading: Watch out for scammers, always take screens of your trades and check what the person puts in the Trade box, But Yes. Old/Boring: depends on what you like in a game. PvE will get boring, PvP will get boring. When it does, help out your friends or just go around trolling and partying! |

This is a really good game for people new to MMORPG's. It does get boring, and that is when you troll these forums.
This game is a lot like Diablo 2, but it is also very different. You should get GW: Prophecies, then when you beat that get Factions. |

I played Diablo 2 for 3 years solid and enjoyed it very much. It got old doing endless Baal runs to get to lvl99, and after trading for every item and crafting all the runeword items it just got extremely boring.
Honestly, Guild Wars has a lot more things to do. There are tons of items and lots of armor choices, but they are all balanced for Player vs. Player so that the game doesn't become "Item" dependent like in Diablo 2. You know how PvP is in Diablo 2, you get totally owned if your armor and weapons are not up to par. Guild Wars requires more skill, and there are also hundreds of skills to choose from. Another thing you will like, is that when you create your character you dont have to worry about screwing up for attribute points, because Guild Wars will let you take them out and move them around to where ever you want them (Diablo2 won't let you change point placement or skill placement in the skill tree, and I dont know how many times I had to reroll a character to get it correct from the start). Its a different game than Diablo 2, its like comparing apples and oranges. If it gives you any indication as to the quality of Guild Wars, I quit Playing D2 and have almost exclusively played Guild Wars since its release early last year. |

Umm just so you know, you can buy weapons from other people and also have them crafted. Armor can only be crafted and you cant buy from other people. Almost my entire guild is from diablo 2 and they love the game, so i think you will enjoy guildwars

If you really liked Diablo(2), maybe you should check out Titan Quest...
If you're into pvp and/or are not put off by a game with a level cap of 20 and maxed items for all... then welcome to Guild Wars |

as stated weapons can be bought from players or npcs. Armor can only be bought from npcs.
Yes this game will get boring. All games get boring sooner or later so that is inevitable. |

The nice thing about GW, though, is that there's plenty of different things to do to keep it from getting dull too soon. GvG, HoH, Alliance Battles, Random & Team arenas all have their own little twist on PvP. The story line missions (especially in Prophecies) can take some time to get though for the casual player. There's also The Under World, Fissure of Woe, and Tomb of the Primevial Kings to play around in in PvE. |
